New BBC ONE ident before EastEnders!!

The BBC just played out a new ident - it was the balloon in a very cold country, somewhere like Alaska, with snow, and it looked like mammoths on it too!!

Have to say I applaud the BBCs attitude to digital TV. They are trying to get the best for us consumers - what we deserve.

BTW: The ident was great!

Looked slightly unconvincing to me, the balloon looked very superimposed, like it did on the Olympic ident last year. But quite nice, all the same.

And seeing a new ident in the usual style debut today makes me even more sceptical that BBC2 is going to get new idents on Monday with the logotype displayed centre right!

OT: Nice to see someone naming the soap correct. Lots put Eastenders.

When is Walking With Beasts on?

It is on next Thursday at 8:30pm (I think)

Isn't it on at 8pm? check Digiguide or something for accurate details. BBC Whatson only have them for the next 7 days.

Nope I was right 8:30 to 9:00

Ident was also on BBC Scotland. London announcers are becoming a regular thing before EastEnders

The problem is, nobody seems to know when a new ident will pop up, so it is rare someone manages to capture them on their debut!

Erm, J2K, I think I know when's the best time to spot an ident debut - before EastEnders! It's the BBC's flagship soap for God's sake! See my sense of judgement? They even showed a BBCi Walking With Beasts promo before that - *cough* gutted!! *cough*

For peeps who missed it (and shame on you, coz nobody misses EE!) it's basically a load of ugly beasts walking around in the snow with the balloon flying in the background from the right.
