And I suppose that - if I'm following the pack - I should really have started a new thread to complain about the fact that people are starting new threads all of the time...

Ahh, I wondered where this was going and now I see. You're still getting annoyed those threads were closed down? Sorry Chesh but that's the way it goes.

If N24 is more popular on this forum (and on MHP Chat!) than Sky then that's the way it goes. People are not expected to have to create the same number of threads on one channel as another in order to re-address the balance.

More people on here like the Beeb - now regardless of whether you think that is bad (for whatever reason) it is the case and I'm sure will continue to be.

Cheers, Asa

No No No. I wasn't trying to drag up the Rain and Ages threads again... but if you're offering to re-open them. lol

I can fully accept that the majority in here like the BBC, that's tough on me. But why can't this majority use their initiative and post in the many existing BBC topics? I could say exactly the same thing about some of the people who prefer Sky. We had about 3 threads for the Sky News relaunch on the day the studio was announced, then another with new graphics and a few more along the way. It would've been nice if people, instead of starting a whole new thread, could've just posted their comments in the old one, thus sustaining the thread for that while longer, instead of crowding the forum with 100's of threads it would be so much easier to just have a few 20 page topics here and there...

Yes I see what you mean, yeah I thing the best thing to do including me is to do a search to see if the topic is already there before starting a thread, but I have to admit I have got a bit excited sometimes and forgot to this!

Maybe Sky's fan's just post a single thread, rather than 4 or 5! Razz:

In my opinion...

Condidering the wide range of topics concerning the BBC and indeed BBC News itself its not really suitable to have the one thread as people would loose interest in it. At least when there is a new topic people know what its about and will choose to read it id it interests them intstead of having to search through the one topic in the hope of finding something of interest.
