I like it. It's pretty good, I think.
I saw the new aston also on BBC World.

As I mentioned in an early post it's the new 'War on Terrorism' branding

Doesn't look any different to me. Just some writing added!

The new 3 line 'War on Terrorism' aston, as Nicky says, is graduated red to orange, instead of the usual off-cream. The text is white instead of the usual black. Not too different from the normal 3 liner, but it looks better against the Terrorism backings, which also have graduated red thro orange backing

And I suppose the graphics departments of all news channels have been busy coming up with new graphics for all situations with the impending military action. I have no doubts we'll see BBC News 24 back on BBC One very soon covering the action.

The graphics department, especially the boys & girls in 3D, have been working their little cotton socks off composing all sorts of stuff for what might happen

Remind me to start new threads every time Sky/CNN come up with a revamped aston!

MSNBC look very well prepared for this, they've got lots of little animated astons. I saw one flash up the other day with 'New Deployment' written on it - looked very nice.

The only thing N24 have done so far different is this new aston. Is a 12 page thread on Sky News' set not good enough for you?

It's fine thanks. But Asa, my point is simply that the smallest of changes to News 24 get mentioned and it's just silly. There's already a News 24 thread on the front page and it could've been slipped in there.

Sky have done this loads of times in the past, it's just irritating that a thread isn't able to be maintained for more than a few days without a pile of new ones suddenly appearing. It'd be nice to have just one long thread where people could talk about the channels presentation during this so-called war. But without a doubt, it'd be a success then within a few days it would die and people would start posting threads about every tiny little change to take place in the world of tv presentation.

Just a minor niggle, that's all.

Gosh, a new thread! Whoopy doo Shocked
Surely if someone feels they need or want to create a new thread about a specific thing, they should be allowed to do so?
Sky have had a major relaunch - it's thread encompasses everything.

Like I said, it's a minor niggle.

But I do think it would be nice if the forum were able to sustain a thread for longer than a few days. And even those that have potential - and I think we all remember the Ages and Rain threads... - are closed down. I don't intend for this to start an arguement, it's just annoying that so far we've had two threads about exactly the same thing, when it could've quite easily have been mentioned in one thread that was already here.

I imagine that if I started a new thread every time Sky, CNN, MSNBC, etc. slightly changed an aston then I'd not even get a reply. Big deal, News 24 have VERY SLIGHTLY changed one of their astons, yet it gets two threads dedicated to it. Why? Is it beyond the initiative of forum members to simply try and post in a thread that already exists? Look, I'm getting annoyed now so I'm going to stop.
