Odd looking logo on the BBC Local Radio Wikipedia page. Doesn't even have the BBC logo. Are there any other BBC departments not using the BBC Logo.

Also features here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01rhp9w

Reminds me of both my own and Biggie's BBC ideas a little bit.

If it's the old Gill one then I reakon they just wanted to 'Reithify' it.

Ugh, that must be due to that new wiki software Fandom just switched to. They always change things for the worse. Mad

Here it is without all of the /revision/latest?cb=20200909063019 stuff.

why are they so discombobulated? and why hasn't BBC Radio London got the new jingles yet?

I was thinking the same thing about Radio London still using the old jingles.
Probably they don't like them or they don't sound London-y enough

Though if they were to be on Radio London, their slogan would be either "The sound of London" or "The sound of the capital"

Heard one of the new jingles on Radio London this evening - but it was a generic "the sound of where we live... BBC Local Radio" one, played out before Tony Blackburn's show, which goes out on a few BBC other stations in the south.

So I see Radio London is slowly warming up to the new sound of the other local BBC stations

Surely that's necessity rather than anything else, as the programme's being networked to other stations. When overnights came from London earlier in the year they did the same, possibly they aren't set up for the split jingles like the rest of the stations?

It's nothing new unfortunately, those jingles have been in use on Tony's Sunday evening show ever since it started in March (though Radio London didn't join the show until April).

It is indeed the Gill Sans one, I have no idea why the image is not loading though

Ah - thanks! I don't normally listen, was just flicking through the Sounds app for something to listen to between the football matches. The first hour from 6pm is London-only before going out to other stations, so hearing the new jingle at 7 made me hope that change was coming! Oh well.
