It's actually six notes.
I mentioned this back on Page 2 - it’s the same five note jingle as all of the Wireless Group stations “best music mix” identity.

You can receive Radio Cornwall on the South Wales coast inc within The Wave's (Swansea Sound FM in old money) TSA.
I'm sure they're all tuned into it there to find out the latest on the Torpoint Ferry
So in 4 days it's not really an issue, those stations and their jingles will be gone

The jingles have already gone - replaced with GHR/Hits-style imaging a few weeks ago.

Talking of similar Jingles BBC Radio Scotland's Jingle sounds very similar to the titles for ITN News at one.

I quite like the top of hour news build where the first half has a 90's Trance piano sound to it.

If anyone's feeling adventurous with the keyboard, BBC Radio Ulster / Foyle are commissioning a new station sound...

These always sound brilliant, creative, innovative when you read the briefing documents. I read this stuff:
and I think "I can't wait to hear what that sounds like on the air".
Inevitably, what emerges from the other side is yet another slightly modified package from one of the same three jingle companies (Reelworld being flavour of the month right now), with rousing orchestral strings up to the news, a 5-6 note "sonic logo" and such "mood matching" subtleties as the logo played on a guitar for the rock show and a banjo for the country show. Same old, same old.
I hope this is different, but I know it won't be. I just hope it's not as god awful as the BBC local radio package, which is wearing hard on me already. I haven't heard a genuinely innovative jingle package in a long time. I think the last time I heard a package and thought "that's genuinely new to me" was IQBeats for BBC Radio Manchester in 2006. That's a bit sad.

Quote:
We want to commission a new Station Sound package, to replace the current suite, introduced in 2008. We are looking for a fresh, contemporary, new sonic statement that is “unmistakably us”, and of this place, we call home.
A sound that threads through the linear schedule, connecting distinct genres/programmes(across news, sport, live speech/topical, debate, drama, arts, comedy, entertainment, music and politics) with flow, transition, punctuation points, and mood matching sign-posts.
