I agree with you on the graphic which just have a name. The strap shouldn’t wipe so high so there’s no gap.
Apart from that, I disagree. I really like them.

I think someone's going to be in trouble.
The new lower thirds were clearly not supposed to go live today so someone must have selected the wrong template. The surrounding presentation hasn't been adjusted as we'd been told would be (ie. music etc).
On the plus side, my mocks were 95% accurate bar the clock (for the name astons and lower third ticker anyway).

It just dosent use the space properly it needs to be a lot tighter between name and description line, the kerning needs to be a lot closer, just hire me I’ll do a better job.

I'm not a fan. It looks naff on the programmes already using it such as Derbyshire, Business Live, Beyond 100 Days etc. It looked naff on the Ten tonight. I didn't even notice the weather graphics were using it until I saw it posted here. Its good to try something different after years of monotony but to be honest I think I actually prefer what they're currently using.

I like the concept. Still think they need work to polish them up but I like them. Not sure on the live bug and clock placement and if it just a name displayed it should be half the size but I do like. I still think the fonts should be the other way round with the name in san-serif and the other in serif.
