I don't know if it's Reith or not - I can't yet instantly identify it by sight - but I've just the end of a trail for Nadiya's Time to Eat on BBC2 with the text starting in serif before animating to sans serif. Is that a common thing?

Yes, that's been like that since the current BBC Two look was launched.

My first impressions. The weather graphics with Reith look very impressive. I had a look at Simon King's forecast on the European heatwave & Stav Danaos online forecast for the North American weather on the website. It all looks very consistent to date which is good. The maps look a whole lot better with Reith implemented on them.

Will there be new titles for the generic bulletins when Reith rolls out? Or will they keep the current globe look originated from 2008, but with all other visual elements “Reithed”?🤔

They're telling us the current titles will stay exactly the same (even the Gill Sans place names) - just the BBC News tile is being updated to Reith.

Seems pretty dumb not to update the national titles when all the regional ones will have to be changed.

National titles staying the same, it becomes a bit of a mess with Gill/Reith clashing.

However the English regions get a new unified look although nothing special, an evolution of existing titles from what I’ve seen.

that looks just awful.

it really does look like something your nan would knock up in serif page plus 5 for the bowls club.

They might be in need of a little nip and tuck, given their age. Wink

Hmmm... hasn’t it been all but confirmed that the new graphics are being used from the 15th?
