New BBC corporate font: BBC Reith

That specific "top heavy" logo is probably just for those titles, to ensure the BBC is not too small to read. There are versions of the current logos, with larger BBC Blocks also.

At least another 3 weeks until the middle of July, if they're still sticking to that. From what I hear it's still not ready so it may be longer.

It must be ready because they are using it one minute works news summaries, unless they aren’t the official graphics?

We're only seeing the headline strap in those videos though, there could be issues with how a name strap animates out to allow, say, a breaking news strap to come on, which until they get it working smoothly they couldn't go live with, but wouldn't stop the bits we have seen from being used.

When did they start working on it? It can't just be putting Reith in it that is holding it up, but from what we've seen of the new look it also looks uncluttered and simplistic, so you'd wonder what sort of problems they are having with it.

BBC Alba has been using Reith in titles of Seachd Là since September 2018

I'm not sure there are problems - these things always take a while to thoroughly test. European elections, Brexit votes and the search for a new Prime Minister have all kept designers and directors busier than they might have expected to have been a few months ago.

I can’t help but feel we are going to be very disappointed, it seems inconsistent the nine has very good lower thirds, but those graphics on the one minute world news summary seems very different, Victoria derbyshires graphics aren’t exactly brilliant either with the text looking squished at times.
