Glad their use of reith came with an appropriate warning.

It looks odd in the slimmer box too. I'd have preferred it if they had revamped the news completely, titles and sets and all, not just changing the font. It's like sticking a plaster over a stab wound.

Absolutely agree. BBC2 has shown how a fresh start is the best way forward and can revitalise a brand. Probably would have ended up quicker to implement too.

Correct, the core titles won’t change with exception of the new tile as seen above.

Very odd they’re keeping Gill in the titles. I thought the point of Reith was to reduce costs of using Gill?

Not a fan of the layout of the box. It’s been done much neater in mocks on this forum.

I think it’s been agreed that the BBC blocks will retain use of Gill and as that’s a logo won’t require licensing. However the bit beneath that says News/World News whatever will be in Reith. So, in short (and in time) BBC blocks Gill, Everything else Reith.

Knowing the BBC by the time they finally get round to doing everything in Reith someone will decide the BBC logo should be aswell and the whole process will begin again to accomodate it.

Can't the BBC just look back to 1997 and appreciate the fact that they successfully rebranded the corporation overnight. This slow refurbishment isn't how they should be going about things.

The BBC had less services back then with minimal digital and online requirements.

ITV rebranded all their channels nationally and locally overnight in 2013 and their websites without any issues or messing about.

I guess the random uses of Reith are there just so Moz can sleep happy. But if Reith and a snail were in a race, we all know who would lose...

= mismatch and hotchpotch of branding.

I at least expect those placenames to be re-rendered with Reith - that is the absolute minimum they have to do, along with changing the logo placed on the screen.
