Reith will be implemented on the
day when you don't expect it...

It seems that BBC News - finally - is going to look like it’s been designed by somebody who actually has an eye for what looks good.

To be honest, if it looks anything like those transparent black Midlands Today astons that were revealed a few weeks ago, I would say it looks pretty bad. Far worse than what BBC news looks like now. However, if it looks like the graphics in the mock above with Huw Who sitting at his desk, then that will be more than acceptable.

Maybe it was deliberate by bbc midlands to let Reith out by mistake so tv forumers could pass judgement, realising it got a less than positive response, they now hastily created new graphics and it messed up and deleted Reith in the process. Surprised

I wouldn’t take it to heart to be honest we obviously don’t know why Reith hasn’t launched I am sure the Bbc have a very valid reason.

BBC Business Live titles have been Reithed. So has Beyond 100 Days.

But this may be old news.

Judging how long the BBC is taking to roll this typeface out, probably never as this rate! Laughing

One would hope because its supposed to come under the BBC News umbrella it'll be rolled out at the same time.

I seem to remember when the current graphics appeared on BBC News in 2013, Parliament had their lower thirds adjusted to look similar but not quite the same as they were using the old Aston system at the time.

It was only around 2015/2016 when they inherited and installed some of the old TVC kit which ISTR included an old Viz server/engine that the graphics matched the News channel.
