Can we maybe lock this thread until we get definite proof that something is going to happen? Might sound OTT but otherwise it's just going to be many more pages of the same thing.
Understand those who are fed up with the same things being posted over and over. From my point of view, the frustration with all this is that what weāve seen is bloody good (ie The Nine, online videos etc) - thereās clearly been a big rethink of the BBC News style. This is after years of safe and plain design where BBC News has been overtaken by pretty much ever other broadcaster in the UK and been left looking clunky and outdated.
It seems that BBC News - finally - is going to look like itās been designed by somebody who actually has an eye for what looks good. Take the slide seen on Sunday for the Tory leadership debates for example - such a difference from the horrors weāve seen previously. The spacing actually looks right! If being pleased about things like this makes me sad then so be it, but thatās kind of the point of this place.
Only the main News homepage and Politics homepage not using Reith - and I've noticed that non-Reith pages now seem to have a gap at the top of the page.

To be honest, if it looks anything like those transparent black Midlands Today astons that were revealed a few weeks ago, I would say it looks pretty bad. Far worse than what BBC news looks like now. However, if it looks like the graphics in the mock above with Huw Who sitting at his desk, then that will be more than acceptable.

And now the Politics homepage is Reith too. Even has some Reith Serif.
