Anyone see the promo for “When Big Names Talk. They talk to the BBC”. Used Reith serif and looked iffy.

Seems like more ads / promos are using Reith and a Diagrid type background.

Am I the only one that can’t see no difference with reith and current font? Does anyone have side by side comparisons?

Not sure there’s a side by side of Gill Sans and Reith Sans, but this article on the BBC website is very informative about Reith in general.

"Wow, I'm not being funny or anything". Possibly a interesting film us presentation nerds. But 10 minutes....They claim this change is saving money in the long run. Ok. But if i was a license fee payer. I'd be giving this whole exercise the suss side-eye. Especially considering the massive cost overruns, such as the Eastenders set rebuild. At at the end of the day the average viewer is unlikely to notice a font change. Total W1A stuff. "Brilliant".

"YES, EXACTLY, YES".

W1A is pretty much a masterclass in being to able to waffle on endlessly about something without actually saying anything of substance. An essential life skill me thinks. Very Happy

I remember seeing a few minutes of a programme about a super hospital whilst channel surfing years back. The bit I caught was about hospital food: a manager was discussing how many patients didn’t like the cheese and tomato sandwiches, so the hospital was going to ‘introduce’ a plain cheese sandwich. Said manager was unsure when the sandwich would, and I quote, ‘go live’. I write this because I think it proves that idiotic management-speak is an endemic issue, and one which isn’t limited to television. Indeed, I often wonder whether Drop the Dead Donkey wasn’t in fact a documentary...

Did the WA1 team go on to become our Brexit negotiators?

The fact is this is about the EU identifying what we do most of best and finding fewer ways of doing more of it less. Or something.

I forget are the BBC blocks going to be Reith’d or stay the same?
