I forgot how striking the soundtrack was. The idents reflected the BBC of the time - bold and self-confident. If the BBC is to survive, it needs to inject some of that back into its corporate identity, and quickly.

A confident and proud BBC you say? A BBC like that might make something like this then:

The BBC of today... not so much.

I have it set as the display font for my laptop and I must say it does look very nice and clean. I hope it gets fully rolled out across all the BBC channels and services.

Sorry, is there a source for it that I missed?

It's easy enough to extract using Chrome.

After doing this, you may need to convert the file to .ttf or .otf to install it on your computer.

For some reason, when converted back to .ttf it isn't recognised in Microsoft Word but it is in practically everything else. Perhaps there's an error in the conversion that's causing it. If anyone can solve this do let me know via PM.

I tried to convert to ttf, but the resulting file was corrupt. There must be some new anti-piracy feature in the woff2 file.

Try converting it to .otf, usually works for me when the ttf is corrupt.

I've converted it to .otf instead but it still isn't recognised in Microsoft Office products, but is elsewhere. How strange.

Not that we should be openly discussing "theft" of typefaces, but WOFF2 has added protection to prevent them from being taken and used.

So these websites that claim to be to convert the files are telling porkie pies?
