New BBC announcer?

Who's the chap doing BBC One network announcements at the moment? Can't say I've heard him before...

If it's the person I heard the other night, sounded terribly like Crispin Clover, who was an Announcer back in early 2000's....

does Peter Offer still do the odd shift? I haven't heard him for a while?

Well remembered, it was Crispin and yes, Peter does still cover the occasional shift

BBC Three seemed to have different announcers tonight before and after Family Guy. Far less annoying too

BBC Three's announcements are pre-recorded, though tend to have a live one dropped in if the schedule is changed at short notice or, seemingly for kicks. Last night sounded like the regular chap who does the BBC One announcements, in fact that channel was in the middle of... <checks iPlayer> Wallander when Family Guy went out.
