New BBC 1 Ballon ident

I love the music for the no-intro idents - it's repetitive, but it's really to the point!!

Theres only 2 balloon soundtracks I can think of that don't have an intro.

Which is the other non-intro one. I've got quite a collection from TV Home, TV Ark, TV Room etc, and I can't find it!

And the most used intro seems to be Ding-didle-idee piano,
Maybe because it is used frequently before Look North

That'll be the one with the very high-up view of the Forth bridge.

There used to be a third which consisted of a medley of several of the South Downs idents, but it was very rarely shown and was withdrawn in May 2000.

I'm sure a humber bridge one would fit in nicely with the new sun opt launching in a week here in BBC North Leeds region.

Also, I'm sure on BBC North East they said the BBC balloon was flying across the new 'blinking eye' bridge in Newcastle to record a new ident.. Never heard any more about it though.

Yes; it's a shame that the BBC didn't think of having at least one balloon ident filmed in every region! It would be nice to have a change from Swinside Stone Circle (which is in Cumbria) here in the BBC North (Leeds) region. I think it's a stupid that there isn't a Humber Bridge ident because it was (until about 5 years ago) the longest suspension bridge in the world (I think it's now about the 4th longest??). I'm sure they could find somewhere in the region, though, to film an ident; it is one of the largest in terms of geographical area!

I like the carnival music. I don't know about the rest of you but i've never thought the Skateboarding music fits with the ident.

Any ideas for a remix?

It may be just me, but I haven't seen the carnival ident for absolutely ages! In fact, all of the lifestyle idents seem have become very few and far between.

Not that I mind, I never liked them much, I prefer the ordinary ones.
