New BBC 1 Ballon ident

A week after the Radio Times did a peice on it last year and Points of View did a little peice on it Lorraine Heggasy (ugh I hate her) also appeared saying that it was too slow and she wanted something faster paced, but her judgement isn't up to much is it!

If it hasn't already been mentioned, it's balloon, not ballon.

I don't like many of the balloon idents, but the Humber Bridge ident, where is starts with a really electronic sounding few notes; is excellent.

Humber Bridge ident? I think you'll find there's no Humber Bridge ident Forth Bridge maybe?

I used to like the old BBC 1 idents featuring a big... 1.
They were a bit like the 2 idents, only with 1...

So... has anyone got a copy of 'Broadcast' and a scanner?

I think you might mean the New Severn Crossing ident (Welsh 14)?

I agree there are too many bridges about. I think they're secretly planning a revolution and will procede with it once their numbers are great enough .. any way! Bridges on balloon idents:
Westminster Bridge, London Bridge and Albert Bridge in the Westminster ident
Forth Rail and Road bridges in the Forth idents
Skye Bridge in .. the one with the bridge in it!

Forth Bridge in Scotland Chesh.

There are two versions of it.

One with the camera zooming along the length of the bridge and the balloon in the far distance (Music same as the Blackpool tower one)

and the other Forth bridge ident uses one of the longest ident intros of them all. Its a pity I don't have that music too!

I thought they'd withdrawn the bridge one with the blackpool glockenspiel music - i hadn't seen it for agggeeesss, and then it appeared!

I think theres actually 3 versions of it,

A third one uses the no-intro music as on 'the side of Snowdon' one (It was on TV Home)

Its not actually the side of Snowdon, its a hill in the Snowdonian National park, but its not actually the famous mountain (so I'm told).

The forth bridge idents are my favourite, along with the old felixstowe ones.
