But aren't some of them event sponsors rather than specifically for the programme?

Interestingly the two Bake Off sponsors seem to be alternating slots with both appearing at the beginning. Oaetkers was by itself into the first break

I have to laugh at the people on my Twitter timeline who didn't like the show beforehand making comment on it anyway. 'I've never watched it but it's gone to pot anyway!'

Channel 4 should have launched Bake Off with their "Gold Bars" ident which rarely (if ever) is shown these days - that would have confused 3/4 of the nation!!

All four (Voltarol, flashscore.com, betathome.com, etoro) appear to be programme sponsors.

"Here we go, big advertising slot, come on, call the number 0904 you have to push 1, good luck if you geddit, come on, its a ad slot on prime-time Channel 4, yours for two £400k notes, good return, 0904 25, I love this Marina isn't it stunning", etc often accompanied by some camp walking and a faceplant. Rinse and repeat.

6.52 million for Bake Off last night - the highest ratings Channel 4 has seen in quite some time! Obviously a lot lower than when it was on the BBC, will be interesting to see where things go from here, as last year's final was seen by something like 13 million people, wasn't it? If this year's final sees any sort of boost from 6 million then I can only imagine how happy Channel 4 will be!
