A repeat on E4? Thought Bake Off would be more targeted towards More4's demo?
This slide really highlights the success of The Great British Bake Off. The only show to win a top 5 popularity spot for all ages #EdTVFestpic.twitter.com/oMetbsn0Wa
So, what sort of ratings do you think C4 are hoping for? The show regularly gets 10m+ on BBC 1... will it get anywhere near that?
If there are new idents or a presentation change, tonight would be the best night to launch them. I wonder how viewers would react to Bake Off starting with a dancing fly man before it or a bunch of rocks exploding and people mining the rubble? Or that microscopic bug creature...!

It certainly won't match what BBC One was getting. Personally I think it could be anywhere from 5.5m to 7m. Jay Hunt said it needs 3m to "break even".
There is a danger that quite a few people won't realise that it's on. If a new series of GBBO is on the BBC then the corporation's many arms go in to bat for it. Channel 4 has to try a little harder.
Having said that, I can see there already is a promoted tweet so it's possible they were just beaten to the punch.

They could opt for a special ident featuring blocks of cake, a mix between the trailer end cap and the simpsons ident.
