Why ironic?
I suppose it's better than having a series of clips taken from the new series of cake mixure in dishes, sponge cakes baking in the oven and Paul Hollywood stuffing his face with a Danish pastry.
It took a couple of plays - and I still don't know what 4Creative are trying to do with the execution of the promo spot - other than create something, which starts out catchy but then becomes irritating.
Wouldn't make sense for Masterchef and Bake Off to clash - they'd split the audience. And that's without counting the viewers they'd lose to Corrie. Right decision.
So the BBC reporting that Bake Off was moved to clash with their Family Cooking Challenge on BBC2 without even mentioning that they'd scheduled Masterchef in the Wednesday slot.

OR the fact corrie getting extra episodes at on wednesdays aswell. You wonder why ppl can't trust the BBC.
Looks like Channel 4 are heavily promoting the new series of Bake Off. Went to Cineworld on Friday and there were multiple snippet/teaser adverts for it followed by a full length advert for the programme during the (tediously long) adverts section before the film.
Being an unlimited card holder I've seen a few Channel 4 programmes advertised in the past, though I think this was the first time I've seen the Bake Off one in the cinema. Considering the adverts/trailers tend to change on Fridays it was slightly odd that the end board for the advert simply said 'Coming Soon' rather than displaying a date as per the more recent TV adverts.

Isn't it the case if you run a trailer on another channel in a paid for advertising slot, you are not allowe to use the time and date of broadcast - I think cinema advertising is an extension of this? I first noticed it when Neighbours went to C5 and ran some ads on ITV/C4, they couldn't even use "Starts Monday", just "Coming Soon" or "This week".
Last time I saw some C4 advertising in the cinema for some sitcom on E4 it advertised it as on "This Week"
It could also be that up until recently the Channel 4 version aired with 'coming soon', it could be that the advert has yet to be updated at the cinema.
