Jeez... Couldn't they just cut out the history lesson?

Maybe they meant to hire Yvette, and ended up fielding the wrong Fielding all together?

She'll think it's a ghost hunt and bring Derek Acorah along with her and he'll end up getting 'possessed' by Mary Berry and will end up doing impersonations of her.

I guess Extra Slice might follow then in a 45 minute slot.

I wonder if they'd leave it in a Friday night slot after gogglebox/cats does countdown before the last leg returns.

Or in the 8pm slot which is typically a poor rated for C4 on Fridays. I don't think they'll put it on at 10.

And I can see Bake Off being used as a lead in for other shows rather than being followed by Extra Slice. It would be a wasted opportunity otherwise.

Anyone that really enjoyed watching GBBO* while it was on the BBC will still watch it on when it's on Channel 4 regardless of it being in a slightly longer timeslot to accommodate ads. It's popular enough not to matter which channel it's on!

*Myself NOT included since I never watched it on the BBC anyway!

I enjoyed Bake Off a lot. An hour was enough and there's no reason why it couldn't be slightly shorter to accommodate ads.

I suspect it's more about C4 claiming back an extra ad breaks worth of revenue in every episode than giving viewers close to an hour of running time.
