Not sure about HTV Wales, but I know UTV produced their own coverage of Ireland's matches in the 2007 World Cup. Something I don't recall them doing before - or since.

They did it in previous years too. In 1999 they hadn't upgraded to widescreen so their viewers got the Ireland matches in 4:3 rather than 16:9.

In 2007 they paid ITN to do a short ITV News summary for UTV viewers only because they couldn't take the main ITV News one Sunday evening due to RWC coverage.

...and they also had to simulcast the final of Britain's Favourite View (remember that?) on ITV3 as well as ITV1 so viewers in Northern Ireland could vote for the Northern Irish entrant.

With High Road, By January 1998, all Granada and UMN owned ITV companies had stopped broadcasting the series, while a few other station carried on with the series:

Carlton Television until November 1998.
Central Television and Westcountry until Friday 24 May 2002.
Border Television until April 2003 --- DID there broadcast all the episodes?
UTV who completed the series in 2004.
