Countdown's production office is still in Leeds, even though it uses a studio in Salford.

I've been doing the maths with blockbusters. Well some of the stations don't line up. There deffo 550 episodes made from Jan1990 onwards ( it even matches up with what bob say saying over 1200 were done)

A number of areas don't seems to have shown all of them. Grampian missing over 100, utv missing a few while meridian and wescounty also have a few missing.

Did all areas actually finish the series? Or is his another young doctors/ country practise type show.

Does anyone know who this Border Television IVC is:

*

Yes - it's the late Pat Doody, one-time Radio 2 presenter and who was the voice of the introductory voiceover on the Border version of Mr & Mrs. As well as announcing at Border, Pat announced for Tyne Tees occasionally and also voiced ads for Metro Radio in Newcastle.

Pat took his own life (he gassed himself in his car) at the end of February 1990, aged 52. He had apparently been suffering from cash from cash problems for some time. The night before his death, he had been announcing on Border and reading the late news headlines after the News At Ten.

He was Senior Announcer at the time and had cut down the amount of time he was on air.

Unusually he did a few late shifts in a row just before his death - he was on duty on the Saturday and Sunday late shifts supervising a new announcer, off on the Monday, on the late shift on his own on the Tuesday, and died on the Wednesday in the afternoon.

His death was first announced on the late Border News on Wednesday 28th February 1990.

It's strange, there have been quite a few local announcers that have taken their own life over the years.

In the year 2000, Wheel of fortunes went out daily each weekday at 17.30 ( jan - dec) in London, Central, Westcoutry and Scotland, While Anglia, Med, Yorkshire, Granada UTV and TT, had it at 14.40 and have local shows in at 5.30

HTV started off during the daytime but switched to 17.30 slot for the other half of the year

Which ITV station broadcast the Mary Tyler Moore show during the latter half of the 1970s?

I think YTV did but not as much as other regions from what I saw in the listings. I think it might have been on at 1230.

Don't think Mark 1 was repeated in daytime. It was definately a primetime programme.

Mark 2 was of course, in daytime.
