'Better Call Saul' is too. It is a bit odd but I can kinda see where they're coming from. It's pretty obvious which shows are made by Netflix and which shows aren't ....they make sure you know which are theirs.

How is it obvious when they class all as Netflix Originals? This is what we're saying in this thread, its not obvious at all.

Well, it's a little confusing. You have original-originals -- shows created and driven by Netflix, like "House of Cards," and the upcoming "Daredevil."

Then, there are also continuation properties, ones Netflix picked up from cable TV and made additional seasons of, like "Trailer Park Boys" or "Arrested Development." Finally, there are exclusive shows of which Netflix is the sole distributor within the US, like "The Fall."

Got it?

Basically, if it's branded as Original, Netflix paid a lot of money so you can't watch it anywhere else. Here's a current list of all the Originals you can watch right now (and some you'll see later this year).

Personally I think it would be better if they used the term 'Netflix Exclusive' for stuff they've only bought the exclusive screening rights to (e.g. the numerous Frankie Boyle DVDs/tours). I'd rather they only used the term 'Netflix Original' for shows they've made/funded (e.g. Strangers Things).

Can't you tell what's a true Netflix Original by the Netflix logo that pops up at the start? Or do they shoehorn that into the "exclusive" stuff as well?

As I said in my OP, Designated Survivor has the Netflix logo at the start, despite the fact they only have the distribution rights here, rather than having commissioned it.

Same with Riverdale.
