Not the time for Studio E to have a few camera problems

For the flooding, BBC local radio should be your first port of call, not BBC1. Yes, I would expect them to cover it, but I would point out that you shouldn't be relying on a national TV channel to get your local news.

So I shouldn't watch the local news for some news that is local to me? No wonder people are disagreeing with you.

ITV came out of the news now, after failing to link up with someone in Johannesburg.

ITV came out of the news now, after failing to link up with someone in Johannesburg.

Was a bit of a shambles. Was very abrupt.

After ITV News there, it shows how inappropriate the ITV Weather sponsor sting is at times.

Huw stays on in Studio E to anchor the similcast across the three channels

When the Queen Mother died, they used a static caption. What they should do is use either a plain 'News Report' slide, or a clock again.

If a clock existed it wouldn't get used in an event like a newsflash, not unless the cut to the news was definitely going to be at an exact time. Just putting it on for the sake of it to show it's 9:42:34 is pointless

Very generic top of the hour style intro from Huw at 11pm, not really explaining what was going on for BBC One viewers due to it simulcasting on various channels, could possibly have done with a continuity announcement.

BBC One (South East) changes...

21:50 - 22:00 BBC News (05/12/2013) has been added to the schedule
22:50 - 23:00 South East Today (05/12/2013) is on at the later time of 22:50 (was 22:25)
00:25 - 06:00 Joins BBC News (05/12/2013) is on at the earlier time of 23:00 (was 00:25)
22:35 - 23:35 Question Time (05/12/2013) isn't on and has been replaced by:-
22:00 - 22:50 BBC News at Ten (05/12/2013)
22:50 - 23:00 South East Today (05/12/2013)
23:00 - 06:00 Joins BBC News (05/12/2013)
23:35 - 00:20 This Week (05/12/2013) is no longer scheduled.
00:20 - 00:25 Weatherview (Skiing Weatherview) is no longer scheduled.

Looks like once we join BBC News at 23:00, we are not coming back until 06:00 tomorrow (or 09:15 give or take a few promos).

Thanks for that. I do think surely they could break away for an hour after midnight and air Question Time, just prefixing it with an announcement it was recorded earlier - or air it on BBC2 or even BBC Parliament. It'll be interesting to see if it makes it to the iPlayer.

This is a bit of an odd caption isn't it:

BBC One HD's filler caption transitioned out to black before the special BBC News titles.
