Just watching the special late night edition of Neighbours, which they're very much pitching to former Neighbours viewers.

The preview at the beginning showed the likes of Paul Robinson and Lou Carpenter with what had been happening in their lives.

Was it me or was that the new theme with the previous set of titles?

I wonder if might be worth 5 having a third showing of Neighbours at 11pm each night?

Are these just two daytime episodes being shown together?

Yeah, today's episode and tomorrow's.

Or maybe tomorrow they're going to show next episode...

Can anyone post mp3's of the new Neighbours opening and ending?
IMO its alright...

I must admit I think a third showing would work well at 10pm/11pm. I haven't watched Neighbours since June 2012 as lost interest when I kept missing the 5.30 showing. Thoroughly enjoyed tonights episode however, it was nice to see Jared/Toadie/Toadfish be happy... Then sad...

I lost interest just after Toadie killed his just new wife in the sea....

Its going to a mismash of titles and theme until the episode it changed in Aus, 4weeks. I see the reason why the mismash is so any new viewers from tonight will be familiar with this and not know of the previous.

Tonights special was todays and tomorrows episode with tweaks such as song additions or swaps for well known ones plus recaps and the Aus break bumper has appeared for this episode.

'The story so far' was a good idea, especially if the intention is to attract new viewers. Song swaps were interesting though, wonder why they bothered? There was another bit of showing photographs of the wedding that was on a black background on the original but Ramsay Street on the late nighter. The custom credits (scrolling white on black) showed there was a couple of UK online editors so I guess all the tweaks were down to them - along with the Freemantle endcap shrinking to reveal the C5 logo.

Fair play for the effort, certainly wouldn't have got that on the BBC.

I thought it was all very good apart from one aspect - the whole thing was littered with previews. Why can nothing be kept a secret any more?!

At the start of the week we get told what is going to happen over the next five episodes.
At the end of every episode we get reminded what will happen in the next episode.
To be told what is coming up in that part is a step too far!

I wonder if that was in part to make sure they filled the hour.
