But will it though? As well as what they pay for the programme itself, the BBC subsidises Neighbours quite heavily and it may well have ended years ago without their input. If ITV are paying ridiculous amounts just for each episode, do you honestly think they will have anything left over to spend on the show itself?

For goodness sake. ITV won't kill Neighbours, they aren't that stupid. If they are paying an ungodly amount per episode they will give it a fixed slot in which it will perform as well as it did on BBC1.
