Up until the cricket match, which was shown til 1998, Neighbours had only had three looks: that one, the one with the aerial shots/envelope at end, and the original cricket match, used from 1985-1992. Whereas Home & Away had a new look nearly every other season. The current H&A look has been in since the 2000 season -- but we're only in the middle of the 2001 season now, cos it was off for a year. Regardless, the 2002 style isn't any different.
The '99 Neighbours cartoon titles with the names (horrid), the swimming pool titles, the current titles, and the titles to come, give Neighbours 7 looks in 17 years. Home & Away are also on their 7th look in 13 years.
I think Neighbours has had 4 versions of their music, and H&A three.

Actually there were several stlyes. The first 1985 season had an orange Neighbours logo and the clips were from the first few epsiodes. Between 1986-88 the cricket titles were used with several modifications, then between 1988-1990 the "map" theme was retained but the clips were completly different and also changed periodicly, then from mid 1990 until mid 1992 only a 5 second sequence was used which had the neighbours and grundy lgos, instrumental for the first few weeks, lyrical for the rest. Then 1992-95 the "enveleope" theme was used, though in 1995 was a longer version and the envelope only featured in the credits.
Well those caps answer one question I've had about Neighbours for about a year or so since it went widecreen here in the UK - and it would seem they show it 4:3 center cut... You guys are missing out on so much more of your own show!

I have a clip showing titles with a Blue Neighbours logo which is simply overlaid onto the first scene (along with the Writer/Producer/Director credits) alongside an instumental version of the theme tune. When were these used?
I remember the Blue logo, which I'm sure was used with map theme.
One thing that hasn't altered at all is the actual logo, Corrie has changed the typeface and Emmerdale not to mention brookie. (don't watch half of these, but I still know)
