Screenshot from the end credits of episode 6072 ... certainly no mention of Apple here . . .

Someone in the Neighbours props department must be a massive fan of Apple products eitherway for them to
feature so often in the show. I don't know about H+A though, as I don't watch it, but I'll bet there isn't nearly
as much Apple related product placement in that show as there is in Neighbours!

I'd imagine there is no secret about their sponsorship down under, but I wonder how that
applies here considering C5 convinced OFCOM that Home and Away at least should
be considered a British show as it's 50% funded by them.

If Neighbours was also considered a British show with 50% of its production funding from Channel 5, I'm sure
the peeps at Ofcom would probably take a fairly dim view if it'd been brought to their attention. I wouldn't
think that matters too much now since the rules about product placement are being relaxed.

They show logos for programmes make up and hair care products M.A.C and De Lorenzo on Fridays. Channel 5 also broadcast these even though we have shorter credits. http://www.veoh.com/search/videos/q/neighbours#watch%3Dv20755483y6g82Ntt

But they are part of the credits, where the Hotel is only for Aus,. More used to be shown years ago.
On another note, clean end credits!!!! I haven't seen clean end credits for Neighbours for about 4 years.

Fiver at 10am. Those sponsors were edited out by the BBC ,but seen in number countries around the world. There on the DVD, some even say things like "the cast stay at Travelodge" or "the cast always fly Qantas." Wink

Fiver don't show the full length credits that the UK hasn't seen since the BBC had it. The BBC didn't have the true full length since 2007 re launch and that was soon cut back down to the 30sec

The longer closing credits are played on Fridays, but those only go out in Australia I believe now.

Neighbours still going strong on Digital, moving the show really has been the best move despite all the concerns.

Via Media Spy;

ELEVEN NEIGHBOURS 397,000
*Highest rated episode on Eleven yet.
*Highest rated show on all of Digital for the day
*28th most watched show on all channels

Neighbours also beat it's replacement on TEN (6.30 news) in the Brisbane market & equaled it in Adelaide, overall in the ratings Neighbours is just 16,000 behind its replacement. Would be huge in Oz if a digital station beats a terrestrial station in the overall ratings. For info, the highest rated show ever on Digital was, "The Big Bang Theory" with 454,000 (Aired on GO!)
