In years gone by it has done - although in the early years I don't believe it did - didn't it air on Christmas day once or twice?

Also the past 2 years Neighbours has run through the Christmas schedules - only breaking for Christmas Day and Boxing Day IIRC - although some episodes only got one showing at early than usual times like mid-day. Even stil this is early for Neighbours christmas break over here. It usually finishes the Friday before Christmas and restarts a couple of days after new year


I think it had a shorter break the last 2 years because we have been further behind Oz and not been in danger of catching up - possibly because its taken a longer break during the summer for various sports events.

Interesting move - the producers have a decent pedigree. If it even approaches the quality of The Secret Life of Us (sadly pretty much buried by C4 when it aired in the UK - though tracked faithfully by my Tivo or MCE) it should be worth watching.

Be interesting to see how soapy it is or if it has a longer story-arc basis.

I think the success of The Afternoon Play and - to a degree - Doctors, has demonstrated that the daytime audience in the early afternoon is more sophisticated than many TV-types assumed... Not sure about the 1735 slot though...

Valda SheerGold return to Neighbours in 2/3 weeks time!

I have found out that her return is on 17th December and she walks in at a wrong time and doesn't get the welcome she expected! But it is very funny!

Here is how Valda returns if you want to know:

Valda walks in to the Lassiters complex happy and says 'Surprise' just after Toadie has proposed to Steph by having 'Marry Me Steph' written in the sky in front of everyone and there is a silence as everyone is waiting for Steph to accept his proposal! When everyone turns to see Valda, Lou's face is hilarious!!!

Is this Oz or UK because I didnt think we were getting any episodes week commencing the 17th on BBC1?

I suspect it's in Oz assuming the schedule on the previous page is correct.

Did anyone else notice the Mr Bean video on the table today at Rosie's and Frazers place! It was one of the old style 'green' box Mr Bean VHS! Laughing

Dont they watch DVD's in Aus then??


Also, any ideas when the 2 new Neighbours DVD's that are out in Aus will be released over here??? I'm thinking maybe March, to coinside with the Hype of moving to Five??

Has anyone got the 2 new DVD's, if so what Episodes are on them?

The Lassiter's Newsagency run by Philip and Julie Martin circa 1994 used to have a big free standing display unit of those Mr Bean videos from around the time they were really popular. I would imagine the video yesterday was left over from that prop.
