I agree, its all Rosetta this, Carmella that with an odd bit from Toadie and Stoney thrown in.
I don't think Neighbours knows where it is at the moment.

I would argue that it knows where it is more in the last few months than it has done since the end of the 2004 season.
The programme have more or less admitted they totally cocked up 2005-2007 and took a very brave move of making it public and announcing changes to take the show back to how it was. The writing since the Parkers' arrived has been heaps better and the interaction between characters is 100% improved from where it was. Characters are now doing and saying things that are in keeping with their personalities and histories.
There are still lots of changed ahead though - the only obvious change to the casual viewer thus far has been the new titles, graphics, theme tune and Parker family. New characters and improved storylining will continue to be implemented throughout next year.

I'm certainly beginning to understand why people are switching off Down Under. If the purpose of the revamp was to make Neighbours "less like an old episode of Sons and Daughters" it's ended up making the show more so.

I really got back into Neighbours this year but ever since they've had this revamp I've lost all interest. All the new neighbours are very dull indeed.

Trouble is at the moment they've got families of friends turning up and then their friends and so on, you get completely alienated with who everyone is!

Exactly. I've lost track of all these new people; at least you knew where you were about six months ago. As for the existing characters - Ned now a model dad to a boy only a few months ago didn't know even existed, Janae implausibly mature and maternal for a girl her age (and at the other end of the scale, a teacher who's more an overgrown high school babe herself), not to mention her Hollyoaks-reject boyfriend - should be be surprised Ian Smith has had enough?

I've been watching Neighbours man and boy for probably about 15 years now and this is the first time in all those years that I've switched it off. About two weeks ago I decided I'd had enough and that I have better things to do with my time. It's a shame, as until this re-launch, I was enjoying Neighbours very much. I remember the late 1990s lull but I thought it got a lot better in the 2000s and the last two years were exciting and compelled me to tune in every day. Now, it is very dull and boring and I'd go so far as saying that it is the worst it has ever been.

I'm probably the opposite - I'd barely seen a single episode in a good couple of years up until the revamp, but have watched most since.
To be honest though it's only the on-going Rebecca storyline which is of any interest - the Parkers just bore me **** (though still far more preferably to the Timmins) while the Karl Kennedy storyline is ridiculous.
Also keep getting confused as Janae, Elle and Pepper all seem to merge into one - and never seem to appear on screen at the same time!

I know most will probably lie here, but how many of you would have noticed the change if there wasent all this press?
