The closing credits are a bit static, but I'm glad they've adopted the same background as the rest of the world. Seems like they've changed the typeface though from the Australian version. Pity we only get the opening theme music as a closing accompaniment too, but I guess this will change once we move to Five in the Spring.
It weirdly reminded me of a first episode of a programme with the new family arriving, though that may be because I haven't watched it in a while. It was a lovely episode, but didn't really have anything else in it, until the end, nice cliffhanger.
I correct myself, having seen the closing credits with a decent reception I can see that the only difference between the UK and Aussie ones are that ours are far shorter and we get the text scrolling rather than on cards. Otherwise it's all the same, which I'm mighty pleased about.
I do like the new intro graphics. Very contemporary. Not sure about the tune... it's nice but, I liked the previous one too much - suppose I have to get used to it. And the end-cap is not fab to be honest.
10/10 to NI for dedicating the whole of the ident to talk about the new Neighbours (Network did intro Neighbours for a change but only after plugging Street Doctors).
And whilst Network used an ECP and talked almost completely over the credits, NI ran it completely clean. It's a shame then really that the music is exactly the same as the opening titles!

on running an ECP over the Neighbours credits!! I've been watching Scotland for a while now and they never seem to squash the credits!! And even better, we sometimes get full clean music on Scotland too!!
As for the new music, I quite like it!! It makes the previous theme seem dated! I like the new end credits too! As for the end theme, the Aussie version seems a bit too repetitive! "When good Neighbours" x3 is a bit much!! I think the short version of the music on the UK end credits is fine! Shame its only 1 line sung, and the rest padded out with just music!!
Yesterday was the first time I've watched the show in about 6 years, and I really quite liked it!! I'm gonna keep Sky+ing it all week to see if I'm still hooked by the end of the week!!

Actually caught a few episodes lately and they did seem better than they had been for a long time - but the post-revamp editions seemed to be a step back IMO into trying to be something it's not.
It's no surprise ratings haven't really improved in Australia, but with Five now bankrolling it for a few years I guess it won't be going anywhere for a bit.

The (inside) info I have suggests that is only because of the move to Pacific Quay and its new pres suites - it will not, unfortunately, be a permanent arrangement.
