And the winner of the "Christ Life's Been Hard On You" award goes to the actor who played Danny Ramsey.... he's so fat now! Didn't recognise him until the second glimpse.

Meanwhile Gaby & Gail look like they haven't eaten since they left Ramsey Street, very worrying.

A corny episode but nevertheless a good one.

PS: I note that Melissa Bell has had her lips pumped then! LOL!

Didn't you spot her in CSI a couple of weeks ago? No? I guess it was just a few minutes..

Does anyone know what episode of neighbours will be shown on RTE One tomorrow morning at 7.35? Wood like to set the VCR if it is the 20th Anniversary episode.

It should be the 20th Anniversary episode.

Oh my God i've just been reminiscing about Neighbours (what went wrong Lester??!). The BBC has got some proper old skool clips from the early days like when Daphne died *brings it all back* Crying or Very sad

Worth a look.

As mentioned at the top of this page, an absoloutely MASSIVE day for Aussie soap today in the UK, with the double-whammy of Neighbours' 20th Birthday and the unmasking of Home & Away's Stalker!

Such a fluke we get two major eps for both soaps on the same day eh?!

Maybe I'm biased but if you thought the 20th of Neighbours was good, you've seen NOTHING until you watch Home & Away's 4000th episode. This is due to air in the UK on December 23rd and trust me, it kicks Neighbours' ass.

Having grown up in a hardcore H&A household I know I'm biased, but having already seen the fantastic 4000th ep of H&A, which is penned by Aussie soap legend and current H&A producer Dan Bennett, it's leagues ahead of what Neighbours did.

Apologies again Neighbours fans... but I felt I had to stick up for the better soap Razz

*ducks bullets*

Sorry about this...

But if I'm correct, the 4000th came before the 20th in Oz.

I'm sure someone here who also posts on Back To The Bay will verify this one Wink

Isn't it strange how often the big stories in Home and Away and Neighbours end up airing at the same time in the UK.

I watched Neighbours today for the first time in ages, having majorly gone off it in the last year or so, and I have to say I was disapointed. It was a blatant back-slapping congratulations, rather than doing something big for the viewers.

As for Home and Away's stalker episode - if only UK soaps were this good. H&A has been far superior over recent months, and when they get their characters back from the past, at least they have a plausible excuse (reunions, weddings, birthdays etc), rather than concocting a storyline around a documentary about an everyday streat.

And back to Neighbours - that line at the end was so corny - even worse than Ken Barlow's speech on the live Corrie episode a few years ago!

Brekkie - December 23rd is the day sir Smile

But seriously, the 4000th that H&A do is sheer brilliance.

I'll shut up now!

Oh here we go polluting a thread dedicated to Neighbours with that Home and Away rubbish! Laughing

Brilliant episode yesterday. I can't get over the fact most of the cast haven't changed much with the exception of a few changing weight - i.e. the lovely Sarah 'double chins' Beaumont (or was that just the camera angle Confused ) I hope Angie Rebecchi comes back soon - she's hilarious - I'm sure that was real laughter from Ryan Moloney when she appeared. Marlene STILL on her 3-month cruise! No appearance from the lovely Anne Wilkinson which was a disappointment - but we had Hannah and Debbie instead, so that was nice. Strange seeing footage of London as well.

Stefan 'Don't it make you feel Paul Robinson' Dennis seemed uncomfortable showing Andi around Ramsay street/studios - a few spoilers not wanting to be seen! Wink Nice disposure of the bridge then! I'm sorry but dah...oh..Ian Smith is very..ah..hmm..much like Harold Bishop if I may say so..dah! Laughing

Well, I've got to say, the Beeb did about as close to perfect an edit job as you could get on the special end credits today.
Unlike some of you had feared, it wasn't cut to ribbons, the music wasn't edited, and the sponsors logo was so cleanly
removed you'd think there was never a sponsors logo for Mercure Hotels on the credits in the first place!

And they didn't even spoil it with a gratuitous ECP promoting some totally unrelated program either!

Well done BBC . . . he says, trying not to sound like someone who's written in to Points of View!

The only thing about the credits I noticed was at the very end, in that you could hear the start of the Channel Ten music.

One helluva storyline coming up according to Waveguide too.

Is this a spolier for whats about to happen in OZ?

What was the set that the BBC cameras picked up on yesterday that we were nont allowed to see? Was it something to do with the above spolier?

Yes, it did sound genuine to me as well.

Speaking of which, I couldn't help noticing, during Andi Peters interview in "The House Of Trouser" during the documentary
yesterday afternoon, Ryan Moloney looked a lot thinner in his face. Looks like he's been on a crash diet or something!
