He did it to try and kill Paul who he hates for abandoning the family when he was so young- but that obviously backfired as he's still alive!

I think it just killed everybody from the same family and that was it. What are the chances on that happening in real life. Everybody surviving except one family!

Looks like Neighbours is off to ITV....

From www.broadcastnow.co.uk:
ITV has entered advanced negotiations with Fremantle Media to acquire Neighbours and is understood to have offered up to four times the amount currently paid by the BBC.

If they've offered four times as much, i don't think there's a cat in hell's chance it going to be staying on the BBC. Five might be able to compete with ITV, but i don't think we'll be seeing Neighbours on BBC1 after next year

It was great to see Robert Robinson turn up in an episode this week.

Im quite surprised they offered up to four times more than whats currently being paid by the BBC - they must really want it.

If it does move channel, will it be off-air for an extended period between network changes, like what happened with Home & Away's move to Five?

Five would be my favourite bet as really I think it would help bring people back to Home & Away which has suffered badly ratings-wise since the move to Five.

Scheduling either Neighbours or Home & Away against Hollyoaks would be a disaster for all shows involved.

My money would be on

5:30 Home & Away
6:00 Neighbours

with Five Life first looks at 6:30 and 7:00, and lunchtime repeats at 12:00/12:30.

If it went to ITV1 I'd imagine it'd be 1pm and 5pm, so you'd get

5:00 Neighbours
5:30 ITV News Hour

with something new for the 6.30pm slot.

I imagine there'd be heavy butchering on ITV1 though.

I want Five to have it!

NO! If five have it then it will be cancelled in the UK within a year! It should move imediately because [see other post in the other forum]. The BBC should replace it with a drama that noone else has thought of - life of a dairy company! I already come up with a name - Float.

Incidentally, today the endcap finally changed from Grundy to Fremantle Media. Strange to see, end of an era!!

They still have the bbc.co.uk/neighbours url, though, which is misleading as all it brings up is a 404 error now. You'd think it would be easy enough to stop putting that up there.

Sorry.

If it goes to ITV I would imagine it will be shown at 2pm (unless they change the time of the lunchtime news again in which case id say 1.30pm) and 5.30pm.

One hour shows like Loose Women do well in the 12.30pm slot so I cant see them going for 1pm. Also I would imagine it would go out at 5.30pm rather than 5pm as firstly there are more viewers available at 5.30pm and also it would be almost the same slot as BBC1 have so viewers would expect to see it there.
