The main character, who I mentioned would die earlier in this thread, will be Stingray. He dies suddenly from an embolism after donating bone marrow to Kerry.
What exactly did he give away? That *something* bad happens to Stingray? I'd hardly call that a spoiler. It's pretty predictable that "something bad" will happen to any character in the future.
The ratings for Neighbours in Oz has jumped up 200,000 viewers, making a recovery
Funny how a lot of UK fans are expressing displeasure over the way the show is going at the moment, then.
The problem as I see it is that since 2005, Neighbours has become "The Paul Robinson Show" in all but name. When it was announced that Paul was returning to show, I was somewhat sceptical - at the time, none of the current characters would have known Paul (apart from Harold and Lou) so how could it work? But since Paul returned, he and his extended family have all but taken over the show; bringing back Gail was a laudible attempt at trying to recreate Neighbours' heyday.
The show should instead have concentrated on the future and instead of trying to go upmarket should get back to where it was at the end of 2004.
Not to mention that Paul himself is now a self-parody. What they should have done was bring him back for a limited time (a la Mark Little) and then moved on. But we're stuck with him for at least another twelve months (which probably speaks volumes about the state of Stefan Dennis' career).
