Speaking of Matriachs - who remembers Eileen Clark and Nell Mangel??? They were both hideously wicked characters, but much loved by the viewing public (especially the hilarious Eileen, played by Myra de Groot, RIP).

They weren't "well loved" in Oz. Mrs Mangel left the show because she was being harrassed by people in the streets.

I liked Mrs Mangel and Eileen. Shame they had to write Eileen out suddenly because Myra De Groot died.

Yes and now Anne Charleston has joined the UK bit-part actor/Z-list circuit, which is a shame.

Isn't she now a regular character in Emmerdale?
Anne appeared on Emmerdale few episodes at the end of last year as a Guest star only.

Well another former Neighbour is about to join Emmerdale next month. Actor, Richard Grieve who played Sam Kratz around the mid 90s will be casted as the character, Jonny Foster.

There is a rumour that Channel Ten are thinking of axing Neighbours, it's getting under 1 million viewers in comparison to Home and Away which is 1.5 and up.
There is going to be a shape up with 9 cast members leaving..

Oh no! Surely the BBC would just pay for all of the production if they decided to stop screening it in Oz? I mean, it can't cost all THAT much to make!!
