The Grundy name is to be dropped in 2007, As of 1st January 2007, they'll be known as FremantleMedia Australia Pty Limited.

Where does it say that it will be a "Pty" AND a "Limited" then?

I think it'll be the first ever company to be BOTH, if your information is true.

Surely, if it's registered in Australia, then it'll be a "Pty", but if it's registered over here, it'll be a "Limited"?

sounds niaive but what does Pty stand for?

why don't they Use GrundyCrackerjack like here in UK with ThamesTalkback???

What does "PTY" stand for?
"PTY", usually used in conjunction with "Ltd", thus "(Pty) Ltd", stands for "(Proprietary)". "PTY" representing "Proprietary" means "private ownership". This illustrates one of the main features of PTY LTD Companies: that is, their shareholders are not publically declared, only their directors. Thus the ownership is private.

What does "Ltd" stand for?
"Ltd" as used in the designation of a private or public company, for example, either "Bilkovo (Pty) Ltd" or "Bilkovo Ltd", stands for "Limited" and refers to the limitation on the liability of company shareholders and directors. http://corp.co.za/e-FAQ.html

Anyone know what B.V. means? I've asked loads of people and searched online but can't find a definition. In the context of Neighbours, it's used on the copyright blurb in the sentence "FremantleMedia Operations B.V - Rest of the World".

B.V. is a Dutch company incorporation.

I think I just caught the end of ep 5000 just now with NI staying completely announcerless at the end of the dramatic episode. Did any anno bother mentioning the special occasion?

I don't know about the teatime airing, but at lunchtime the national announcer did refer to it being the 5000th episode. I must say that I'm really enjoying Neighbours at the moment. Today's episode was really good and I'm also pleased that Susan and Karl are back together. I wonder how long it will last?

BBC Scotland did mention it at the beggining, something like "And now a milestone for Neighbours as it celebrates its five-thousandth episode". We did, annoyingly, get an ECP during the closing sequence though Evil or Very Mad

I liked the translation they had on screen in today's episode with regards to Mishka... and in yesterday's episode, when Lou announced that Warney was coming, they showed the graphics from the closing titles... half - way through the episode, which I thought was different, but nice with overlaped music!

Neighbours have been really good this year, a vast improvement in my eyes. I was watching at Aussie pace until the nei.gfunk site closedown. Just catching up via youtube though, can't wait!

Also is it just me or does the opening recaps are normally more gripping then when the scenes actually took place? Take this opening (Spoilers), now i watched the preceeding ep to this, and this opening for the next episode makes it seemed more gripping then watching the episode before this one, if you follow...
