hmm, that's an interesting theory there.

According to Grundy Television this happened:

Neighbours has undergone a complete makeover as the studio complex used was found to have asbestos in the roofs and walls. This has meant that the inside of the sets has been replaced with a lookalike set in another building.

On screen this currently looks as though all the homes have been through the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show!

So, now you know.

Was it not the Lassiters set that contained the asbestos, the rest of the sets are just been done up due to the anniversary.

On another point the Channel Ten theme music could be heard after an episode on RTE.

Correct me if I'm wrong here . . . but wasn't the studio building that had apparently become a health hazard with
asbestos, originally used as the exterior set of the Wentworth Detention Centre in "Prisoner Cell Block H" . . . ?

Just to confirm, it was neither the houses in Pin Oak Court (aka Ramsay Street) or the studio building itself that contains asbestos, it was the exterior sets on the Global TV backlot. The shells that contained Lou's Place and the Coffee Shop were found to contain it. Officials told them that they had to come down. Therefore Grundy worked their demolition into the 2004 Season Finale.

The set was originally built for the short lived 1981 series "Holiday Island".

Does anyone else think that Bobby Hoyland looks like he has too small an age gap over Max to be his father . . . ?

Totally agree, I've spent many an hour (my life is THAT sad) pondering how he can be Max's father.

Yeah, and Rosie looks a lot older than him aswell.

Quite - I actually started wondering whether I'd remembered correctly that Rosie was Max's mother, and began wondering whether she was his grandmother if Bobby was his father.

However: it is Neighbours...

Well who saw this week's episodes, especially yesterday when Paul slipped under the water's surface after having a vision of Lil on the side of the lake. Just amazing stuff, really enamoured with the programme at the moment, it's great to see it back on form, especially with the anniversary coming up too.

Looks like they've fallen behind in updating the official Neighbours website again. It's still showing the week of
storyline previews for August 29th - Setember 2nd. Have they forgotten about it, or can't they be bothered?!?
