It's not Boyd, I heard Conner. I thought I was hearing things today when the theme seemed faster.

What the hell have the BBC done? They have shorted the remixed theme back to 35 seconds and it sounds really really bad. Must have been a late edit, someone doesn't like Neighbours getting some extra air time somewhere at the Beeb.

Well the 5.35 the credits were at there normal 42 seconds in length, are you sure the lunchtime credits were 35 seconds long, if they were there must have been a technical issue.

The 5.35 credits were definitely different, though - it seemed to be cut short, ending straight after "become good friends...", leaving out the usual prolonged ending. It seemed rather odd.

Yeah they lost something before "Neighbours should be there for one another" as that got my attention, then the ending got cut short and we lost that lovely bit where the vocals made a howl that coincided with the gleam on the Grundy logo, that didn't line up tonight at all.

That "friends" sounds nasty at the end. They have cut the middle bit so it arrives right after the first part of the theme.

Funnily enough I was half watching NI at the time and thought the bit back at end of the announcer sounded odd. That is really poor.

It's annoying because clearly they've got away with it until some jobsworth found out and ordered them to cut back the credits (and back to the shot cutting away from no. 32). I doubt the team at Grundy were asked to provide that excuse of a edit. And it begs the question, if they're desperate for 35secs why not just dub the original theme from last month!
