Would the feed go without ECP to other nations, giving them the option whether to add or not? ECP then only applied to what goes to be transmitted in England?

Yes, the feed without ECP goes to each Nation... they also have access to a feed with ECP... so can choose which they wish to use.

I'd seen some captures of the new titles before and didn't like the look of them, but I think they came out on screen a lot better than I feared. Still, I would perhaps agree that they are not suited to the programme, although at the same let's not fool oursleves into thinking this is a heavy drama!

The end credit sequence ran alot better than lunchtime, no squeezing, the ECP fitted nicley over the left hand side of the picture.

Looked even nicer without an ECP.

Not that it has ever been used over Neighbours, but whenever BBC Wales put their own ECP over the end of a programme, I've only ever seen it on the right.

Is Joe Mangel going to come back to the show or is that it - he is out for good, again!

Love to see Hilary Robinson come back to stir more trouble for Paul and possibly bring back some of the other stablemate family members of the Robinson and the Ramseys/Bishops

I think that's it. AFAIK, he was only signed up to reprise the character for a few months, with a somewhat low key exit.

It's a pity really, if he's not coming back at all. A legendary character like Joe Mangel deserves a better exit than that

There was a interview with him on a Website and they asked was he going back and he said

"No, I’ve done my bit and they don’t really care. This may seem like burning a bridge because the gods are reading this. But I don’t care. I went back knowing how weird and difficult it would be but they weren’t keen to exploit Joe Mangel"

So looks like a no guys.

In short, he left to be back with Toby to help him renovate his house.

Speaking of one other member of the Mangel family ... anyone noticed Sky Mangel appearing in a chatline advert recently?

And before anyone says it ... yes, I know that isn't really the actress that plays Sky Mangel, but you can't deny she does
bear an almost uncanny resemblance. I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned this before, seeing as this advert gets
played during almost every single adbreak during late nights on ITV4, and probably various other channels too.
