Why do they do that on TEN, when they come back from every break, they tell you what were watching, ie in the pictures

It's standard practice, every network has a programme return graphic showing the name of the show, the classification and the station logo. This is done on all shows on all networks. The US started doing it a couple of years ago but Oz has been doing it since the 70s.

Sky One use to do this at the start of the Nineties. Back in the day when Sky One meant Sky One and none of this Sky onc **** lol

So has Ten have generic titles on other programmes as well?


The new graphics are part of Ten's summer look I think.

And the new year also see's new opening titles and closing credits with a slight remix of the theme.

Yes, but you on hear the final line in Australia. New Zealand have just broadcast the "real" closing credits. It just a cartoon street shot with the credits scrolling on the right. This will keep the Beeb happy. They are 40 seconds long and it's not the BBC's edit of the theme.

But we do see the Grundy logo and "good friends" on the credits though here in NZ.

No this is the new 2006 ten PRG. They relaunched with new idents and the new PRG last week.

It seems as if these credits have been designed for the BBC, but the end slides do not fit in at all.

Makes sense, considering how much the BBC contribute towards Neighbours.

I wonder if the BBC will keep this edit or edit it down further, cutting a further 10 seconds. It does not really seem worth it, but it is the BBC. If they do keep this version it would be the first time British viewers have heard the lyric 'Neighbours should be there for one another' in years.

"Neighbours should be there for one another..." is heard on the opening credits. The remix is actually a very nice version.

Oh and they may well keep it as it is if they can put a full 30 second trailer on the credits. Wink
