I think Neighbours is still a few weeks behind, but Home and Away is virtually up to date and will probably have to take a break in the summer too. Perhaps when it does they could air double episodes of Neighbours.

How have the ratings settled down on Five. I think the new contract is what is keeping it going at the moment as things have only gone downhill for the show in Australia since it's ill-fated 2007 revamp.

The Thursday episode was end of the that weekly block. The episodes now air as they do in Australia, with a Monday episode being on a Monday, and so on...

Well it was Five that messed up that pattern in the first place by taking it off on some Bank Holidays and not others.

Why would they do that? If they did that they would get far too close to Oz. As its off for a 5 week break over there and only just over 2 weeks here we will catch up a bit as it is.

i wouldn't call the revamp ill-fated, Neighbours has done extremely well in Australia since 2007, hell even i've been watching (though i still prefer Home and Away)

I didnt realise he watched Neighbours! I have watched it most episodes since the revamp and IMO its a lot better than it was before. I really like the Parker and Napier families.

It's weird seeing a different actress playing Libby Kennedy. It's a bit like the Cheryl Stark situation all over again!

At least there was a pre-titles announcement this time, albeit a very short one

You'd at least think they'd get an actress with similar mannerisms - she hardly passes off as Libby at all.

Awful.

You wait until the 'real' Libby returns and sings at funeral. The dubbing is terrible!

And a nice little joke at the end from the continuity announcer tonight.

"No wonder Libby doesn't want to be a Fitzgerald, she only became a Kennedy last night!" Laughing

I'm still waiting for Christopher Biggins to take over the role of Harold.

Speaking of that particular Ramsay Street legend . . .

Harold is diagnosed with cancer next week.

Interesting he leaves Ramsay Street this week (in Oz) and I for one don't blame him.
