The current episodes on five are from the 2007 season, when it was still the full theme tune on the credits every day, so wonder why ten have sent five the episdoes with the 2008 version of the end credits?
If the 2007 eps already had the full theme, why has ten bothered to edit them?? The 2008 eps begin in the uk in approx 8 weeks anyway, surely five could of had the full theme for 8 weeks and then use the short theme when the new season begins.
Do RTE still show the full theme on there current 2007 episodes?? Surely five could have just been sent the same versions as RTE get sent?
Due to a clause in RTE's contract, they have to stay a day behind Five, so I suppose we'll see tomorrow. They have been showing the full 55 second version up until last Friday though.
Neighbours' Joe Mangel commentates over the last episode on the BBC...
Well hasn't he just let himself down a bucket full, very disappointing, thought he was better than that.
Back on topic though, all the promotion and treatment of the show to date has been superb on five but these short closing titles and more importantly, the 'filmic' look, really detracts from the viewing. Neighbours is all about being bright and sunny and this lower frame rate and whatever else has been put over it really changes how it looks. I hope they sort it soon though I hear they're determined this is how they're aired in Australia and that the episodes arrived at five like this.

I'm no expert on this, but could it be because it's being filmed in HD, and for some reason five have the HD version that they're playing out in SD where as the BBC had an SD version?

But downscaled HD material doesn't have to look like this surely - Strictly Come Dancing looks all the better in SD than it ever did since going HD - one example of a show with lots of colour and looking he better even when downscaled post-HD.
Besides, episodes weren't entirely packaged as HD until the new 2008 season - a few weeks off yet in the UK.
take a chill pill adda, lol we may get the full credits on fridays (I hope) plus shame they don't use the offical neighbours break stings.
Do they have them then? Aren't we virtually the only country that really had programme specific break stings - I thought in Australia they were just done by the networks.
