FWIW a longer version of the trailer has been shown just now, starting with Elle telling Harold and Lou and then someone telling someone else etc.. etc.. going round the street. Didn't mention the times though.

And "Weight Watchers"?! Couldn't they have got a classier sponsor?

Good to know the Neighbours timeslots are moving with the soap. Also good news on having an omnibus, i needed something new to watch at the gym on a saturday afternoon other than Gillette Soccer Saturday.

It will be odd if Home and Away's early afternoon episode is a repeat of last nights whilst Neighbours is a new episode. The omnibus will be a welcome addition to the schedules though.

I take it Five Life wont be showing First Look episodes like Home and Away get?

LOL - so that's basically Five telling Neighbours viewers they're all fat!

I wonder if Five will have special branding for their Aussie soap hour - I think they did briefly for Home and Away/Family Affairs during the last (5) set of idents before the switch to "five"

.Do you think this might effect Irelands screenings or can they screen the same episode 5 mins later??

That would be first run then wouldn't it? if airs 5 minutes later on RTE.

5 minutes may not be enough due to five having a commercial break - this is where RTE would catch up and possibly overtake 5 in screening episodes then as such RTE would then be showing first run - although only by a matter of seconds or just over 1 minute - come closing sequence!!!!

A way round this would to have a first showing on fiveLife!!!

Well as they'd also be a break before 6pm Neighbours on Five will probably finish around 5.55pm, so RTE should get away with it.

Isn't this irrelivant anyway as the 1:45pm showing on five will be the first showing for any particular episode in Europe

Looking at the new listings in Digiguide. Fives 1st episode is the BBC's last episode.

As the descriptions look to be the same, with a few words rearranged.

This would probably make sense just so viewers know they are picking up exactly where the BBC left off. I would imagine it will leave BBC One without any wording other than "and thats the last Neighbours here on the BBC". Starting with the same episode just reiterrates we are carrying straight on with the story (as we all know how dumb some viewers can be). Still im sure their will be lots of complaints either way. I think they also re-ran a few of the Home & Away eps so people could re-affirm themselves where they left off (but of course it had been off air for over a year here).

When Home and Away started on Five, there was a special re-cap show shown on the Sunday - But then it had been a year.
It was Sally Fletcher updating us what had been happening in Summer Bay.
