When Neighbours is on five, do we think the end credits will run in full or will they be end capped? Also it will be interesting to see if the Ten network endcap makes an appearance? I know Home & Away gets the 7 endcap but i guess it depends on a few things.

The end credits in Australia as of 2008 are 19 seconds in length!

And very nice they are too.

Poor Suse

I haven't been emotionally touched by a soap for ages and ages, but this storyline has been really moving. It is surprisingly morally complex for Neighbours, and has been done extremely well.

Neighbours has gone from cr*p to unmissable in the space of a couple of weeks!

sorry to say ADDA but Neighbours has been doing extremely badly. The first episode of the 2008 series were bad (just as bad as the 2007 finale).

The whole show was doing alright in the middle of last year and the revamp pulled its highest figures in years, but compared to Home & Away, Neighbours has lost its charm

If it wasn't for this Five deal, I'd expect the show would be heading for the axe.

I think you're right and also the BBC have been looking at an excuse to revamp the daytime schedule for years.

I saw Gayle and Gillian Blakeney (the Alessi twins) on the revived Take Your Pick the other day. What ever happened to them?

Oh and talking of Des O'Connor... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9NPXFJkyMhM

Five has today announced the timeslots for Neighbours, and it's good news for long-term fans. The show will be broadcast on weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm, almost the exact times it has been shown on BBC One for over twenty years.

It was also announced that Neighbours will get a weekend omnibus and a catch-up showing on Five's sister channel, Five Life.

1.45pm seems an odd time - is Home and Away still going out at 12noon.

I'd have thought the best thing to do would be put something new on for an hour at midday, and then have Home and Away and Neighbours from 1pm before a film at 2pm.

Is the 1.45pm the same days episode, or like Home and Away a repeat of last nights?

That story is from PB.net and confirmed by Five's press office.

The 1.45 episode will be the first showing and 5.35 a repeat.

To answer one of my earlier questions, according to Broadcast the lunchtime Home and Away moves to 2.15pm.

So could we see:

12noon FILM
1.45pm Neighbours
2.15pm Home and Away
2.45pm FILM
5.00pm Five News

Only trouble with that is though once films don't fit in the slot could we see Neighbours and Home and Away moved a few minutes earlier/later to accommodate.

Neighbours will air at 5:30pm when it starts on Five on February 11.

Five's news bulletin will move 30 minutes earlier to 5pm to allow Neighbours to lead in to Home and Away at 6pm. A lunchtime Aussie block will also be created, with Neighbours airing at 1:45pm before Home and Away at 2:15.

Other scheduling plans confirmed today include a Neighbours omnibus starting at 12:30pm on Saturdays on Five and repeating on Five Life on Sundays.

The soap currently airs at 2:10pm and 5:35pm on BBC One.
