The BBC version of neighbours is not using the split screen images used in the Australian version for the houses! Has anyone else noticed this?

What do you mean? With living in the UK, I haven't seen the Australian versions - aren't they just the same?

yeah i noticed that, they just show Lou's house etc where in Auz they have a split show like the credits and have say Lou's House, Lyns and a mail box.

I watched the first few episodes on erinsborough.net and in between scenes there was split scenes shots of the house, that they where about to do next scene in. The BBC seem to have them edited out.

I'm not too fussed about that - I thought they looked a bit tacky tbh.

The reason they aren't on the BBC is because the prints the BBC show don't have them on. FremantleMedia who distribute the show often add in their own stock shots to hide where the add breaks have been for the BBC. They didn't have the updated stock shots from Grundy in time. When the BBC realised, they complained and they're now being edited in. You won't see them on screen until May in the UK though.

Today marks Neighbours 20th anniversary in Australia. Twenty years ago to the day when the first episode was broadcast on Network 7.

Well me got it from Erinsborough.com's forum. I would show you if it was up but one of the threads say although he dies temporarily, they manage to get him back to life. All sounds odd but my sources comes from there!

I wouldn't trust a forum over an official website. Forums are full of people fantasy's. Some people make up so many storys they actually start believing them themself.

Well, several of the cast and crew are members of the Erinsborough site and forums. Therefore if anything is not true, they point it out to us.

Does anyone have an update on the status of Erinsborough.com? I've just tried to access it again today, but still to no avail. What's the cause of the site disappearing?
