Well I don't watch Home and Away, so I can't comment, but I am a stalwart fan of Neighbours, and I would have said that is has improved greatly over the past few years. And I certainly hope that the BBC doesn't axe it. If it did, would another British TV channel show it ?ie. five.

Don't know. The early evening slot is full on C4, the news would need moving on five (as they did for H&A) while ITV1 have finally found a programme that can perform well in the 5pm hour with Paul O'Grady.

Looking forward to the new and improved Neighbours. Over the next year, new sets, music should bring up the standard of the show.

Home and Away is better than any British soap - what a load of cobblers!! Home and Away was good when Pippa was in it and it wasn't so centralised around a few teenagers but had a nice mix of mature and young characters now it's no better than Hollyoaks...

That comment just proves that you don't actually watch H&A. Sure there ar eplenty of younger characters (as there always have been), but there are plenty of characters across the adult age range.

I'm really looking forward to the season finale this week! Doubt I'll get to see it. Its a shame it wasn't last week when I was snowed in. Rolling Eyes

There are no trailers planned for the Season Finale. I asked a friend in Programme Acquisition and she told me they'd not been able to secure any promotional air time. They were however, trying to get some trail time later in the year.

This is really the first time I've actually watched a Christmas episode of Neighbours, mainly because I heard about the storyline - but I must say it does seem strange watching people celebrate Christmas in early March and also with it being summer in Australia!

Just wait until the H&A Christmas episodes come around - we will see them in late June! Couldn't get any further away from Christmas-time.

Well the 20th anniversary hits Oz in a few weeks but I don't think all the guest stars will be around there - more spread out in the year.

I remember the millennium party they did featuring the Robinson House going up in flames, well the kitchen. By the time we saw it was March of 2000!

True but it will be Summer so it'll seem quite realistic!

The best thing about the Millennium in Neighbours was although it was celebrated, Christmas was completly forgotten.

When do the Christmas episodes air in Aus - doesn't Neighbours go off-air in November?

No, the Season Finale airs in December and always has done. Last year the break ran from 10th December 2004 to 10th January 2005.
