Well it would seem that Karl doesn't die, which I suppose is quite good, he is one of the best characters in Neighbours.

I noticed Susan's house has had a quick on - screen renovation. It looks quite good, but I didn't notice Dahl sitting around anywhere !

I wonder how much longer the burning fire of Lou's Place which is found on the End Credits will stay on for. It's been nearly two weeks since the Fire, all seems like old news and seems very out of place.

I've been perplexed by that too. Usually, the credits are updated for each episode, but that last still has been left for some reason.

It's because it's the background to the legal information and the final credits which are kept the same every episode - before the fire it used to have the Lassiters Complex, which would now probably be even more out of place than the fire. I presume it will stay like that until the place is rebuilt.

The reason they aren't on the BBC is because the prints the BBC show don't have them on. FremantleMedia who distribute the show often add in their own stock shots to hide where the add breaks have been for the BBC. They didn't have the updated stock shots from Grundy in time. When the BBC realised, they complained and they're now being edited in. You won't see them on screen until May in the UK though.

Today marks Neighbours 20th anniversary in Australia. Twenty years ago to the day when the first episode was broadcast on Network 7.

On watching Neighbours today on RTE they have the split screen house shots, but the BBC did not.

I heard this on Heart 106.2 earlier today... and wondered how many people realised that NEIGHBOURS is actually an anagram of ERINSBOROUGH?

Not quite . . . if you rearrange the letters of NEIGHBOURS, you end up with ERINBOUGH. Although, if you rearrange
the letters of ERINSBOUROUGH you do end up with NEIGHBOURS, but you also have stray letters R and O left over!

They should have a title sequence that starts with

ERINSBROUGH

and the letters move around to spell

In today's Neighbours, I think Lister from Red Dwarf has been having words with Susan. As Karl was commenting to Susan on how nice the new decoration was in the house, as Susan closed the fridge, it was made by a company called "SMEG" Smile
