This was used for the NBC series "Laugh-in"...the bird gets the bird. The bird sneezes and its feathers blow off.
Equivalent to a Monty Python lampoon of the BBC mirror globe as seen in many Flying Circus episodes.
I really wish someone had a clip of this.
Furthermore, there were other special idents made in the 1960s...particularly for the 25th anniversary of NBC in 1962/1963...but none seem to have survived...only a record that some were made.
