Thats funny...

Dean Gaffney on picking up the award for I'm a Celebrity on behalf of Ant and Dec said they were in Australia getting ready for the programme but when picking up best entertainment award, Ant and Dec were apparently in L.A. acting very sincere to the fans almost to the point it sounded like an obituary.

Could they be any more blatant in pushing Britain's Got Talent to win.

What exactly have Eastenders done this year? Corrie pulls the plot of the year out of the bag and go away with nothing. Fair this awards lark isnt it?

Not really. Tonight's CS was brilliant but that doesn't make up for a year of (mostly) cack including the Ashley and Claire snorefest and the overall poorly handled ill-conceived, sensational, unrealistic murderer Tracy storyline.

EastEnders has actually gone a long way in reviving itself with a new producer, refreshed cast and higher quality of writing, so it deserved the award. I don't even watch it that often but it did.

I'm sure 'Barbara Windsor goes on stage and makes speech" is actually printed in the running order Laughing

Whether or not they have a good year or a bad year, EastEnders almost always win, I think Corrie has won once in the last 7 years

Very disappointing result. EE have won it the previous 2 years, it was Corrie's turn this year. They have had a fantastic year so deserved to win IMO.

Im happy that X Factor won though.

Corrie won it last in 2004, and before that in 2000. Though it won it in 95, 96, 98 and 99 for some reason; odd considering the late 90s were considered EastEnders' heydey.

You never stop. 'Corrie's turn' - bless. It's not about whose turn it is, it's about which soap has been the best.

Amen for the awards show actually reflecting the truth - and the plain and deadly accurate truth is that EastEnders has been of a more consistently high quality than Corrie in the last year. Corrie has been largely dull for ages and ages, only very recently have things improved.

I can come to terms with BGT having more "talent" but X Factor being more popular... but how the hell did Catherine Tate win against the likes of Harry Hill's TV Burp? Pardon the nagging but it's one of the most unfunny "comedy" shows i've ever seen.

Nice to see Ant and Dec scoop a couple of awards. Just wish Harry could taunt them again. Laughing

Actually it didnt win it in 1996 - Eastenders did. Corrie won it in 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2004.

Nobody's mentioned the special award for Jeremy Clarkson.

Very well deserved, in my opinion.

Shame about The Bill, that's being fantastic this year.
