Think Paul O'Grady might clinch the best ent presenter with Ant & Dec's recent bad press...or maybe Jonathan. Either I would be happy with.

Is it really on at 8:30 though? Seems strange but then soaps must get priority! Rolling Eyes

Why have I got a strange feeling, being ITV, Simon Cowell will get special recognition just as The X Factor is going downhill...if I'm right I want a freddo bar out of all of you Razz

The NTA's are quickly becoming the lest prestigious awards going. Why not just re-name them 'The National Soap Awards'?. The best Actor & Actress categories are terrible. Rolling Eyes

That the "factual" category is taken up by programmes which are basically or increasingly light entertainment shows the viewers have no concept of what defines a factual programme. Nominations for this category should only be accepted from the ilk of Panorama, Roger Cook, or anything with David Attenborough (now that Survival has been knocked on the head).

If Anthony Cotton wins Most Popular Actor I think I'll throw up

All the nominees are pretty samey, actors from Corrie, EastEnders and Doctor Who. The same reality shows, the same presenters. Britian's Got Talent is the only truely new programme and should win that award

I'm sure the other awards will be split out quite evenly as usual. I hope it'll be Bill Roache rather than Barbara Windsor making the best soap announcement

Why is Strictly Come Dancing in the Talent category - it should surely be entertainment, because all of the others in the category are talent shows rather than celeb shows... Confused

Laughing I wonder Mr Cotton will mention either Queer As Folk or crawl to Russell T Davies in his acceptance speech?

I hope The Bill gets something, because it has been outstanding this year in my view.

I agree totally - although I think Doctor Who will get it, they always do!

"I also do the National TV awards, where I like to tell my jokes, It's the only time I come alive" as Harry Hill once said

Trevor is providing his unique presentation again!

I hope Emmerdale get an award. They have worked therse arses off over the past year, and never get the recognition they deserve.
